I agree to an extent. I don't mind hearing the odd person saying scumbag or whatever, but some people just take it over the top. I have a friend who says y u no?, me gusta or all the things! seriously 15 or more times a day. It drives me fucking nuts. He also does it to everyone on Facebook, even to people who obviously have no idea what the fuck he's talking about. If anyone makes a status update - boom, he's on it making some really forced internet meme reference. It fucks everyone off.

Also, I think that since most of the memes we see on the internet are only written, we probably all give them our own version of what they would sound like, and it doesn't seem natural to hear another persons interpretation of it when we've mostly just heard it in our own heads. Just my thoughts.

New Zealand. The expression "x fucks me off" is pretty common here, unless it's just me :/ What about "x pisses me off"? Same thing, slightly milder language. Where are you from? I'd guess that 90% of our television/movies/music are from USA or England, so it always surprises me when something like this isn't commonly said out of our country.
