When I was about 4 I smashed my face on the sidewalk because I ran ahead to open a glass door for my mum. The lower pane had been smashed out so I just fell straight through the door.

I wanted so bad to laugh at that, but alas, I have actually done that...all the way through a window at a Dominos Pizza. Ended up in the lobby. The girl behind the counter just stood there. I calmly looked up at her and said "I just walked through your window". Not the most epic statment at the time, but it was all I could come up with.

I was coming out of Staples once walking really fast (I was late to a meeting and had to grab a notepad). The automatic door didn't open fast enough and I walked right through it ripping it off the tracks and having the glass smash on the ground. I felt like the Terminator.

I was nearby when someone ran through a window similar to this....the sound was like a glass waterfall that cascaded to the ground in slow motion, I imagine that's what pixy dust sounds like as it falls.

Sorry to be a party pooper, but this specific type of slapstick comedy I find completely unfunny.

Here's why: My dad almost died doing something very similar. He still has glass in his leg because of it, and has a giant scar on his arm as well.

Here's how: After working a long shift at his military job, and being someone far sighted (he wears trifocal glasses), and also walking at a military clip, he mistook a very clean window opening for an open door, and promptly walked right through it. Also I as well as he are giant klutzes.

Why he didn't die: Within yards were EMT personnel that basically saved his life.

This was an extremely traumatizing moment in my life as a kid, not long after this my parents separated, and I basically grew up the rest of my life without a father in my house. He was around, but he did not take a major role in raising me.

You know too much now.

In elementary school during a field trip we stopped by a pit stop somewhere near Bakersfield. For some reason I thought the bus was going to leave me behind so I ran towards it at full speed, slammed into it and ricochet back 5 ft. The windows did not even so much as crack.
