and yet there is still no solid scientific explanation of why this happens, despite the reposts of over 180 video and photo shots of these volcano storms.

The power displaced on these storms are magnitudes higher than a super cell's yet they occur only in the ash plume. The need to take a look at the high atmosphere above these storms and see if any Sprites and Elves are occurring. This would be a tell-tale sign of some heavy electrical current flow from the high atmosphere to the low atmosphere.

wikipedia has a very brief explanation as to why they occur which is already pretty intuitive, the increased rock and dust collisions causes much more static electricity than normal, which is all lightning is.

Note that in ever single reference mentioned, no testing has been done to confirm this reaction is actually occurring. A lot of hypothetical's are being tossed around. It just seems strange that every time electricity comes into play in a non electrical science, there are a lot more theories than testing.

I don't know how many images "every image that seems fishy" is, but it seems like a lot. Perhaps you should find another hobby and chill out. Just scroll past it. There is not a shortage of pics posts and it takes but the speed of thought to scroll past it, since you can see the thumbnail without clicking on it. I would rather have a certain percentage of posts be reposts but all be great posts than zero reposts and a a high percentage of suck.

In terms of your comment of "pathetic karma whore" /pics is a place to share interesting photographs and pictures. I think that every picture I have posted is interesting and worthy of sharing.

I think your attitude is appalling; calling other users "retards, pricks, dickweeds, fucktards and morons is unacceptable. It would far more productive for you to spend your time providing good content than complaining about bad, especially as Reddit does make a point of requesting users to not complain about reposts.
