I remember the one episode on pseudo-science and the paranormal. Blew my mind because I was into aliens and the x-files.

Yeah, I think it's actually fair to say that he helped some kids along. Also, beakman's world.

Beakman was a poor substitute for Bill Nye. I prefer good science content to "zany antics" and people dressed in rat costumes, thanks.

I remember one of my grade-school teacher telling us about going to see him at some workshop. She told us of him explaining the universe to her, how we were a dot, rotating around a dot etc. etc. Being from the south, and a christian, she paid no attention to it, but that story stuck in my mind, and here we all are.

I blame Bill Nye for converting me into the science-spewing, evil, amoral atheist scumbag I am today.

I know I always loved the show, despite trying to be a Christian as a child. Also, the phrasing on this picture, however simple, is hilarious.

More like seeds of fucking knowledge. Non-religious upbringing FTW.

Bill Nye really did help me out as a young hardcore Baptist who knew something was off with the whole religion thing.

DID YOU KNOW THAT!!! "Despite the many followers of religion, there is no actual evidence for the existence of a god or gods" ... NOW YOU KNOW!!!

Apparently some people called him a dick of a person. I don't know if that is true, I don't see why that is since he is such a charming educator.
