No, they got that base covered, by believing that God doesn't want them to want to die.

They may be crazy, but they aren't stupid. Well they maybe be stupid, but they aren't crazy. Um, you know what I mean.

I disagree with the other atheists posting here. I think some DO want to die and want to see the world go up in flames. Take for example the Great Disappointment or more recently this asshole.

In both cases, tons of christians were very disappointed that the world didn't end. They were hoping for the end of everything. Pretty fucked up outlook if you ask me.

Some do, and I'll give the devil his due, at least they aren't hypocrites.

Others just want to use end times as an excuse for oil companies to destroy the environment, their goal being to get rich and die with the most toys. To counterpoint.

I agree, but they are the 1%.

A lot of religious people use it as a coping mechanism, specifically to ease fear of death. I do not think that these people want to die, but are just too afraid to accept that they have been wrong all along and may actually end up in the dirt and not in heaven.

Just my opinion, of course.
