Years ago, my dad used to go mow the lawn and do general handyman stuff for my grandfather every week or so, and he'd often bring me along. One day Gramps was out, so I had a quick look through the huge ( to me at the time) bookshelf to get something to read while I waited for Dad to finish.

Your on the right track. Most likely he saw the accident coming and was beginning to eject from the vehicle. The resulting angle of the accident and the created momentum allowed him to waltz of the vehicle mid accident. Think about a perfectly landing after jumping off a swing set where you just keep walking with the momentum.

Facts: Its a PediCab. Bike frame and cheap body.

It is the driver/pedalist of the pedicab who sees he is not going to make it and jumps forward away from the cab.

If there were people in the cab, then they are hurting real bad.

I like that 90% of the things that you see on Reddit would be Abe Simpson stories that you'd never believe if you heard them. These are acts that would have become camp fire legends and lasted years.
