Looking for an image subreddit with minimal rules? Check out /r/images

A place to share interesting photographs and pictures. Feel free to post your own, but please read the rules first (see below), and note that we are not a catch-all for general images (of screenshots, comics, etc.)

Rules

  1. No screenshots, or pictures with added or superimposed text. This includes image macros, comics, info-graphics and most diagrams. Text (e.g. a URL) serving to credit the original author is exempt.

  2. No gore or porn. NSFW content must be tagged.

  3. No personal information. This includes anything hosted on Facebook's servers, as they can be traced to the original account holder. Stalking & harassment will not be tolerated.

  4. No solicitation of votes (including "cake day" posts), posts with their sole purpose being to communicate with another redditor, or [FIXED] posts. DAE posts go in /r/DoesAnybodyElse. "Fixed" posts should be added as a comment to the original image.

  5. Submissions must link directly to a specific image file or to an image hosting website with minimal ads. We do not allow blog hosting of images ("blogspam"), but links to albums on image hosting websites are okay. URL shorteners are prohibited.

  • If your submission appears to be filtered but definitely meets the above rules, please send us a message with a link to the comments section of your post (not a direct link to the image). Don't delete it as that just makes the filter hate you!

  • If you come across any rule violations, please report the submission or message the mods and one of us will remove it!

Please also try to come up with original post titles. Submissions that use certain clichés/memes will be automatically tagged with a warning.

But do we call it a "Squiger" or a "Tirrell?"

I vote "Squiger":

The Nazis invented the Squiger
By crossing a Squirrel and a Tiger
But the American Vets
Turned them all into pets
By feeding them beer and Braunschweiger

Relax, everyone. Tiguirrels are perfectly harmless.

Totally forgiven. They eat grackles.

It's np, with such a big head and such small shoulders he wouldn't have enough strenght on the mandible and the jaw to even bite a cat.

Nay, would not affect us. Carnivores do not usually attack beasts that are much larger than themselves. If they did, dogs and cats would have destroyed the human race long ago.

SCIENCE!

there are many carnivores that attack beasts that are bigger then they are, f.e. hornets, beatles, worms, ants, fish and mammals and the most hardcore animal of them all is probably the Gulo gulo A.k.a Wolverine because it hunts alone and can get up to 25 kilos, and they can take down weak elks (approximated weight ca. 5-800 pounds) and it looks like a bear and a wolf combined, but smaller, and they are very aggressive so they could easily kill humans without a problem. there are also lions and Komododragons but they are 3 meter long lizards that are also poisonous and can take down water buffalos.

The Beatles???

This is a good point. I've seen mockingbirds attack all forms of raptors and even cats. The tough part is imagining whether squirrelions could do it too; much would depend on how their brains are wired to be behaviorally predatory and/or territorial. Most predators do not attack such proportionally larger prey.

what about bacteria and viruses?

[–]chemistry_teacher 0 points1 point ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

This is a very different argument. I would presume that the prior examples all included a sense that the smaller attacking creature "knew" what it was attacking. On that basis, I cannot imagine bacteria/viruses would count. Besides, the argument would have to find comparison with squirrelions. :D

a squirrel is a animal that spends its whole life in terror of dying, a tiger spends its whole life struggling to survive by eating other animals...if you would combine these two it should become an animal that has so strong longings to survive that it would do whatever necessary to survive, including killing humans...
