My dad bred snakes and kept them as a hobby. It was a regular thing to clean the shit out of their cages, feed them mice, and fill their water bowls. All 84 of them. As you can tell, I would be quite comfortable around snakes (there were baby moccasins in my school's swimming pool and I confidently and not scared removed them). When it comes to spiders, I will legitimately sit in a corner and cry if there is one nearby. I'm 6'5 and quite athletic so this makes me look like a pussy. I don't give a shit. Fuck spiders.

It's a trapdoor spider. They dig a little hole and disguise it to look like the normal forest floor (or whatever their surrounding is) and then they string webs out around the front of the hole. When it's prey touches the web pieces around the front, the web vibrates which alerts the spider. It then springs open the "trapdoor" and grabs it's prey, pulling it in for it's dinner.
