All the things we forgot that we remember.

Nostalgia is often triggered by something reminding you of a happier time. Whether it's an old commercial or a book from your past, it belongs in /r/nostalgia. Here we can take pleasure in reminiscing about the good ol' days... times we shared with loved ones, both humorous and sad. So grab your Pogs, Surge cans and Thriller cassettes, and we'll see you in /r/nostalgia!

These were the first chapter books my youngest daughter read. She's 16 now and is still a warped and nerdy individual with purple hair. I'm so proud!

I had all of these at one time (they may have made more since then). This is the series that got me into comic books.

I swear I was the only kid who ever read these in my school.

My Grade 2 teacher was so confused by the fact that ALL THE KIDS were reading these books that she eventually gave in and decided she'd read us one out loud for story time or some shit. (Grade 2's pretty weak stuff 'round here) She didn't read it before hand.

She got about a page in before she was 'disgusted' and we had to read the books behind her back. Good times.

(Also: Bought a box of 12 Dear Canada books, had to borrow some of the neighbouring cubby to fit them all in, got beat up for stealing a cubby. Thanks Scholastic.)

Scholastic book fair with this weird fold out metal cabinets they used to store all the books in. I used to spend a fortune. Never read any of the books, but it was nice to shop.
