The number of galaxies is pretty low. Even more telling is that there are approximately 44 trillion stars in the visible universe for each person on Earth.

Nope. There will always be more numbers. Number's go on to infinity. Stars are finite. Still there's a lot of them.

Technically, they can't really go on to infinity, as infinity is not a number, and thus numbers cannot ever be equal to it. But yes, numbers do go on forever.

There are about 100-200x more galaxies than that poster indicates. And the statement opens up a series of philosophical questions that can't be answered by something pithy.

It's about 80 billion galaxies, actually.
I've never heard an astronomer or astro-physicist claim a figure that low. It is usually 200-400 billion
