All the things we forgot that we remember.

Nostalgia is often triggered by something reminding you of a happier time. Whether it's an old commercial or a book from your past, it belongs in /r/nostalgia. Here we can take pleasure in reminiscing about the good ol' days... times we shared with loved ones, both humorous and sad. So grab your Pogs, Surge cans and Thriller cassettes, and we'll see you in /r/nostalgia!

I have two qualms with this:

  1. 80s wrestling was just as good as 90s wrestling, if not better

  2. Salute Your Shorts is included, but not The Adventures of Pete and Pete?

Seriously! No P&P?! Also, don't hate on Johnny Bravo, he's cooler than those Jersey f*cks.

Maybe Johnny Bravo is who all those guido retards aspired to be, and they really fucked up.

90s wrestling was far better than 80s wrestling. The Golden Era cannot hold a candle to the Monday night wars and the Attitude Era.

No generation of kids will ever be better then us.

[–]nameless_faceless 3 points4 points ago

60's kids are. When I was 2, my mom sat me in front of the TV so I could say that I watched the first moon landing. My generation was in high school for the 80's. Nothing comes close to the awesomeness of the 80's. Nothing.

Well, yes. I started college in 1985, finished undergraduate and started veterinary school in 1989, and finished veterinary school in 1993.

I was crying inside as I scrolled down and realized that the majority of it had no hold on me. We couldn't afford to have nickelodeon! Why!!!!

I guess it would be something like this (if anything)...

Abed = Screech

Troy = Slater

Jeff = Zach

Britta = Jessie

Annie = Kelly

Shirley = Lisa

Pierce = Mr. Belding

and now I'm reaching...

Chang = Max?

Prof. Slater = Ms. Bliss?

This Girl = Tori?

Duncan = Mr. Tuttle? (naw, I just wanted to use as many obscure SBTB characters as I could)

I don't think the shows are similar at all, but it's the same group dynamic. I would love to see a parody episode or something along those lines.

I think that's the downfall of today's youth. They aren't growing up with Disney ballads. Just Simpson episodes with Kesha... ಠ_ಠ

[–]hillbillyhipster 2 points3 points ago

When an 80's nostalgia thread comes up, I hear this about your generation. Face it, we're just getting old, that's all.

[–]BunyipAndler 1 point2 points ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

Really? You genuinely believe that the downfall of today's youth (doesn't include teenagers because all teenagers grew up in the 90s) is that they don't have good music in their entertainment? Really? That's such a ridiculous statement.

[–]timisblue 3 points4 points ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

YUP ALL OF MY DEEPEST AND MOST PASSIONATE BELIEFS ARE POSTED ON A WEBSITE CALLED REDDIT.

[–]BunyipAndler 0 points1 point ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

But it's such a fucking stupid thing to say. Why even bring it up? All kids listen to shitty music. It's no big deal.

[–]7Snakes 1 point2 points ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

I'm pretty sure bunyipandler wasn't being completely serious that it was the complete downfall of today's youth. Why even bring it up? Because it's a fucking comment on a reddit thread. Why the hell did you even comment on his comment? Why even bring it up? Because you can and this is reddit and this is your response (ignoring whether you're right or not) and you can do that shit. Take a chill pill.

The Beets definitely were the most badass fiction band ever! I was just listening to their songs earlier.
