(cough cough) Need... more... energy (cough, cough, gasp) fossil fuels! (burn, destroy, discredit, and hide) Easy to obtain, cheap, renewable sources of energy (cough) feed me coal.

Breathtaking... This gorgeous light pollution also causes fatigue and stress in mammals, disorients migratory birds, interrupts the mating patterns of moths, causes some marine life to lay their eggs in uninhabitable areas and is the single largest source of unnecessary greenhouse gas emissions in Australia.

when viewed from afar, you get to see what the collective has done without having to witness the banality of individual humanity, yes.

Flying over any major city or heavily populated area, It's always struck me how much we as a species have transformed large sections of the surface of the planet into a blanket of countless thousands of little lights, almost as if we were trying to mimic the stars themselves, and create a little heaven on earth.

Either that, or we've chosen to create artificial stars and place them just above our heads; which is more useful, but blocks out the real stars.

Why did I get downvoted? That was a serious question. At first I thought it was downtown LA but the one building looks like the Sears Tower.

Disgusting things I have seen. 1. 2 girls 1 cup 2. The body I found in Indiana one summer. 3. This.
