I missed it before, so am happy for the repost. Just sayin'.
[–]BdotDS 1 point2 points3 points 9 months ago
This again. You know, if people actually linked to a source when posting a comic, these reposts wouldn't be as common, since it would be likely that the source had been previously used. But then, internet points.

The baldness of the atheist is probably a reference to 'bald is not a hair color'.
[–]centigrade100 0 points1 point2 points 9 months ago
good catch! I hadn't thought of that. Upvote to you!
[–]BjornStravinsky 3 points4 points5 points 9 months ago
I've seen this comic about 15 times now, and I still have no idea why he's not wearing shoes in the last two panels.
[–]Kowzorz 0 points1 point2 points 9 months ago
He's been through a lot of shit. You wouldn't be wearing your shoes either.
[–]NiccoHel 0 points1 point2 points 9 months ago
No shirt, no shoes... No salvation?

"Finally, they calmed down"
... what?
[–]Skibum04 17 points18 points19 points 9 months ago
This commic makes a lot more sense if if you live in europe. Christianity has calmed down for the most part in western europe however Islam is getting much much worse in western europe. There are way more muslims in europe than in america. Other than extreme examples of terroism christianity is america's greatest threat as far as religion is concerned.
[–]a_can_of_solo 4 points5 points6 points 9 months ago
that's because they shipped all the fanatics over to the states
[–]rugbysuperstar 1 point2 points3 points 9 months ago
It's surprising that more people don't know this.
[–]geoff_the_great 0 points1 point2 points 9 months ago
I usually don't care about reposts, but this was posted YESTERDAY, ffs.
[–]MathiasKrogh 1 point2 points3 points 9 months ago
Actually...
[–]mjj04e 0 points1 point2 points 9 months ago
This is a great cartoon! Made me laugh pretty hard [5]
[–]The_other_Aphex_twin 0 points1 point2 points 9 months ago
Except I have a shred of respect to those who practice islam, because they bother to follow the fucking tenets the religion promotes.
[–]GreatGreen286 0 points1 point2 points 9 months ago
I was just thinking of this comic and you happened to repost it
[–]abbiistabbii -1 points0 points1 point 9 months ago
Calmed down? Really?
Because Christians seem to be up to their old tricks.
[–]Clowncopter 3 points4 points5 points 9 months ago
While child rape is pretty bad, it's dissimilar to the examples in the cartoon.
[–]abbiistabbii 0 points1 point2 points 9 months ago
What about persecution of Gays and Lesbians, Killiing abortion doctors, getting their fairy tales put in science classrooms and taught as fact and working against Abortions even when they are necessary to save a woman's life?
[–]fuzzydunloblaw 3 points4 points5 points 9 months ago
All a walk in the park compared to the horrors of the "holy" christian crusades. Things have calmed down, relatively speaking.

And homophobic violence?
[–]elusiveallusion 1 point2 points3 points 9 months ago
Relatively speaking, chilled out.
I mean, they don't openly, and with complete impunity, and indeed total social endorsement, actually torture and kill people of non-heteronormative status.
Now, they might do so with a distressingly mixed public reaction. But not widespread acclaim.

Its r/atheism... every subreddit has reposts. r/atheism will naturally have more reposts because we are talking about the same things over and over. Its not like there are new discoveries to be made in the atheist world.
[–]Skibum04 3 points4 points5 points 9 months ago
Ya reposts from the previous day are annoying but honestly reposts from a couple months back are not a big deal. New people join this subreddit all the time.
I don't think this is a matter of right and wrong. This is a matter of personal preference and obviously r/atheism would prefer to see this again.
[–]BasaltView 1 point2 points3 points 9 months ago
"I've already seen it, therefore no one should ever be able to see it again."
[–]EvilTerran 1 point2 points3 points 9 months ago
The reddiquette says:
Please don't: Complain about reposts. Just because you have seen it before doesn't mean everyone has. Votes indicate the popularity of a post, so just vote. Keep in mind that linking to previous posts is not automatically a complaint; it is information. Votes indicate how the community values information, so just vote.
Please don't:
[–]completedick 0 points1 point2 points 9 months ago
Oh look, another asshole complaining about re-posts. It's strange that someone would click on something they've seen before and then go out of their way to complain about it. Yes you've wasted 1/2 second of your life viewing the re-post, but, you've just wasted 15+ seconds bitching about it.
[–]EvilTerran 0 points1 point2 points 9 months ago
You have a point... on the other hand, the reddiquette says:
Please don't: Be rude when someone doesn't follow Reddiquette. Just point them here politely, and keep in mind that these are just guidelines.
I bet you get invited to a lot of parties.
