  3. No personal information. This includes anything hosted on Facebook's servers, as they can be traced to the original account holder. Stalking & harassment will not be tolerated.

  4. No solicitation of votes (including "cake day" posts), posts with their sole purpose being to communicate with another redditor, or [FIXED] posts. DAE posts go in /r/DoesAnybodyElse. "Fixed" posts should be added as a comment to the original image.

There's a shopping complex in Seattle's "Gay Ghetto" (Capitol Hill) where the bathroom stall doors are only 1/2 height. I can only assume it is to discourage bathroom sex.

One time, years ago, we were rolling through Nebraska and we stopped off to stretch and use the bathroom. I walk in, and as i usually do i look around to figure out where everything is. The stall directly to my right is set up with a door low to the ground, and 1/2 to 2/3 the normal size of a door. There was a man shitting in there. We made eye contact. I left.

These could be from a prison, or any type of place where people can't have total privacy. Our toilets in bootcamp had no barriers what-so-ever. Taking a shit right next to other people was a little awkward at first. :/

I've seen inner-city schools with these, too. It's to make sure kids aren't doing drugs in the stalls. I find it funny that yours is the only comment I can find that knows about these (and know they are intentional).

  • I'm thinking they anchored the posts upside down placing the hinge mounts too high. Perhaps they swung the wrong way (striking toilet/ insufficient clearance) and this was a compromise vs reordering/ modifying. Since we can't see end stalls -they may have initially swung into an entry door or urinal/ sink area.
