Graphic novel is "Pride of Baghdad". Besides this hilarious out-of-context moment, it's a very powerful and well-written story reflecting the tumultuous time during Operation: Iraqi Freedom.

Giraffes don't exist. This poor fella was trying to come to terms with that fact, but he couldn't quite wrap his head around it. So it blew up. The lions just didn't know what the creature whose head blew up was, because giraffes don't exist.
Check and mate. Any more mysteries for me to solve?
