  1. No screenshots, or pictures with added or superimposed text. This includes image macros, comics, info-graphics and most diagrams. Text (e.g. a URL) serving to credit the original author is exempt.

  2. No gore or porn. NSFW content must be tagged.

  3. No personal information. This includes anything hosted on Facebook's servers, as they can be traced to the original account holder. Stalking & harassment will not be tolerated.

  4. No solicitation of votes (including "cake day" posts), posts with their sole purpose being to communicate with another redditor, or [FIXED] posts. DAE posts go in /r/DoesAnybodyElse. "Fixed" posts should be added as a comment to the original image.

As you're beginning to drift softly to sleep, the silence of the bedroom is broken by a soft susurrance; Suddenly wide awake, you stare blindly into the darkness, eyes wide and helpless in the inky blackness. Then comes the second rustling, not far from the first. Now the paralysis is real. You daren't shift a limb for fear of hurrying the intruder that is even now making a third, and a fourth footstep in the detritus of the room, ever more confident, ever closer to the foot that you're now too terrified to bring beneath the warm shelter of the covers. But the looming mass in the blackness doesn't stop at your foot, although a faint hairy tickle against the instep makes your face contort into a grimace of discomfort and horror. Instead, a weight is gently pressed upon the mattress between your knees; the mattress sinking lightly as second and third limbs move gently about your body, beside your inner thigh, beside your face.

Barely moving, twisting slowly and uncomfortably to avoid unseen obstacles, you stretch for the bedside switch. As you grope blindly, unfamiliar whiskers drift lazily across your lip and nose, but finding success your fingers grip the toggle and a soft glow floods the bedside.

Covering you stands a hulking form both alien and familiar, covered with a coarse brown fur, six black and glassy eyes meet your frenzied stare, unrelenting and unreadable but for the brimming malice, barely twelve inches from your face. As the thorax lowers, readied for the struggle, the pedipalps move aside and reveal glistening mandibles that softly whisper five words;

"No-one will ever believe you."

Man, that's fucking awesome. I hate anything with more than four legs - no idea why; I used to love them. This picture doesn't freak me out at all. So it seems it's the legs that are the problem. Also the skeleton on the outside...
