I felt like that until I worked at his museum for a year...now really, no artist could bore me more....only because he was so self absorbed with his own infantile sexuality. However, the art stands alone beyond the reality show whore he would have been in today's times.

That being said, he was on the cusp of what we now experience as the reality of fame, and was a brilliant conceptual and technical artist. Imho, just as an artist without all the hype, his creative accomplishments and collaborations stand on their own merit.
