Why would I bash Michio Kaku? He's great, and I love to listen to him. That's unfortunate about Tyson though, the only thing I knew was that he turned down Sagan's invitation, and that always puzzled me. He's a pop scientist, like Carl Sagan was. He does a lot to make science accessible and interesting to the average person. A science advocate that is able to simplify difficult concepts while maintaining their immense scale and majesty is an important, valuable thing to have.
