Wow. If I tried that without some kind of protective suit I would not make it out of shower alive.

The first and only bath I gave my cat left me with many scars, blood everywhere, it was terrible.

That actually looks exactly like my cat and my naked body, and I have in fact washed her in the shower. (She had a problem with Stinky-Butt when she was young. This cured her in one shot.)

However my shower is not tiled, so apparently at least 2 people have done this.

I have the scars. She CLIMBED ME to exit the shower. (That was about 5 years ago, and now she's the one torturing the kitten.)

Yeah he had a serious problem: he loved going outside and playing in the alley, and sometimes he would snuggle with the homeless people who went through our dumpsters.

Tragically, a few months ago he was exploring the canyon nearby and got bit by a rattlesnake :'( Curiosity killed him.

umm... not fact. I used to bathe cats and dogs for a living. some cats didn't give a single fuck about the sprayer or any other water. others would flip out over the little bit of water pooled at the bottom of the tub.

If your cat gets fleas you should give em a bath/shower - even if you've killed all the fleas they're still really grimy under their fur. Plus its fucking hilarious when you see how small their bodies really are.

My larger cat took off for 3 days and came home covered head to toe in pine tar and axel grease. I put him in the tub with dish soap since that's what they use to clean animals in oil spills. Worked like a charm.

While he was too tired to fight, his sister sat at my elbow growling the entire time. I couldn't tell if she was mad at me or at him.

My kitty's having digestive issues right now, and as a result her litter is clinging fiercely to her fur with poop. She's getting bathed about every week and a half until her stomach clears up. (Yes, she's been going to the vet, we're seeing how this round of dewormer works before moving to a full-on diet change.)

I really hope they used cat-safe shampoo. It's very dangerous to bathe a cat with water, as such a heavy wash can remove essential oils they need on their skin. Always use waterless shampoo unless in case of an emergency where you absolutely must get everything off the cat (like if it got into something that's absolutely coating it's fur).
