... I've never played FFVII, but TIL it's Aeris in English and Aerith in Japanese.

That's kind of debatable. Japanese doesn't have the "th" sound, so it gets pronounced as an "s". Her name in Japanese was エアリス (e-a-ri-su), and the final "u" is more or less silent. The official roman letter spelling in Japanese (and later US imports) is with the th, but the pronunciation would be more or less the same as "Aeris" in English. Relevant wiki & pronunciation example

Some people get all up in arms about the supposed "change," but really all it is is that the original translator probably wanted to stay true to the original pronunciation in the Japanese version. Later translators cared more about the official spelling. You can't have both, and translation is always imperfect.

It all looks real, just really exaggerated.

It looks like her body is proportionate, but she's wearing some really jacked up shoulder pads. It also appears as though she's painted her eye-lids to make it look as if she has really large manga eyes (evidently nobody has told her about contact lenses and proper make-up techniques), and she is sitting up straight as a board and stretching her neck. Her head also looks disproportionate for her body, because her feet and legs are so damn close to the lens.

This looks like an absolutely horrific attempt at cosplay. That or an attempt to show people how ridiculous the proportions are in anime/video games/manga.

My cynical side says she just sucks at cosplay, though.
