They taste like strawberries, and by that I mean, they taste like wild strawberries. Much more tasty than what you find in the grocery store!

I've never had strawberries from the store, or wild ones for that matter. I go to the local farm and pick them from the field myself. Would they be much different than that?

It depends on the farm. Some farms grow the older, wild strains, but many grow hybrids that are developed to have a greater shelf life, not bruise so easily, look perfect, etc. because there's more profit involved.

Pineberries are actually White Pine strawberries. There's no pineapple involved in the species. They were a naturally available wild berry that was on the verge of extinction when some growers began growing them again. We (as a people) let a lot of varieties of produce go extinct, sadly, in favor of commercially viable ones.

There are lots of wild white strawberries, white alpine and white beach for instance, but the Pineberry is not one of them.

Pineberries are White Pine. They are now cultivars, but they came from White Pine. White Pine were one of the many species of wild strawberries now being cultivated.

By the way, being a cultivar doesn't mean they aren't natural. It means they are selected and maintained through cultivation to keep them from going extinct. You seem to be confused as to what a cultivar is and what natural means. Although some cultivars are bred with others to create hybrids, that still wouldn't mean that they aren't natural. Hybrids occur in nature all the time through cross pollination.

There is my evidence that Pineberries are hybrid cultivars, not just cultivated wild strawberries. The source materials come from different continents, so they can't just cross pollinate naturally.

Fun fact (for certain values of 'fun'): The true fruit of the strawberry plant are actually the "seeds" on the surface of the strawberry, biologically speaking. The rest of it that we call the fruit is basically a modified stem.
