We may be poor but we still have more than enough crap to occupy us. Families can eat "well" off the dollar menu now even if they aren't eating healthily. Families might have to rent, or have multi generation homes but we generally have homes that aren't made of aluminum siding or some thatched hut and have electricity, plumbing and generally clean water. Libraries with internet access. And we still have the ability to get up close to our politicians and yell disagreements in their face without fear of being outright shot or imprisoned without trial and tortured. Unless you pull a weapon the cops in the area usually at least give you a chance or two to stop and go away without resorting to violence. Violent governmental oppression is probably the biggest key factor in inciting revolution.

Rioting is not the answer. When you Riot, you cause harm to your fellow citizens. Harm never convinces people. It will actually make the politician's role easier.
There are other ways. What needs be done is a change of habits. To become independant of the system. Not to use the banks. Not to pay for that which is more expensive than should. To speak truth to the people. Start convincing them that they are being manipulated. Participate in free speech forums.
It's about imagination. Creativity is what will take us all out of this mess.

Which set of statistics can possibly instruct you on the true intellectual capacity of 307 million people you've never met? I'm shocked at the downvotes, kind sir. As I mentioned, this is used only after all the regular discussion topics fail, such as:
-Prohibition keeps the police in business -Cannabis is quite safe, especially compared to alcohol (a food) -No possibility of overdose, withdrawl symptoms are minimal (decreased appetite, depression) -The black market for cannabis is a gateway 'sales item' for other drugs -causes relief from pain, nausea, and a variety of other symptoms
The list goes on, and I'm sure someone like yourself knows these things quite well. I just want to reinforce that "FOOD IS A DRUG" is used as a last ditch effort, when everything else has been exhausted. It typically works pretty well for me, as people then think of foods that have given them an effect. Sure, eating cake can't be compared to psychoactives like DMT or Psilocybin (also food), but tell me now, would you consider McDonalds addictive?
Mcdonalds probably has MSG which is addictive. Psilocybin is not a food. Just because you eat arsenic doesn't make it food.

Certain varieties contain this psychoactive chemical. They also contain B vitamins, selenium, copper, potassium...
So, in a way, you are correct, that chemical itself is not a food, but it is found in something that is a food.

Yup - no one but college aged kids smoke pot. And they are always such shit students. And everyone knows you can't be successful as a college drop out.
Just because that is your (VERY limited) experience, doesn't mean it's the norm. There are tons of people that smoke - all different education levels, types of jobs, cultures, ages, etc and many of them are very successful in their lives.

I tell him, all my friends who smoke weed are either getting honors at the moment. Or are very hard working people. The reason they are capable to offord smoking so much weed so often. (mostly everyday) is because they work so hard so they can come home and relax how they want to.
