This might be the best thing I have seen on reddit.

The slow pic load made me feel like it was 1995. Worth the wait though.

Too bad it's not representative of the actual evolutionary tree of humanity... but whatever. Interesting enough.

This is amazing, and to go to all that effort and remain anonymous is something to marvel at.

I'm no expert, but mammoths didn't come from dinosaurs, and men didn't evolve from the creatures from "the Wild things"

It definitely should not be taken as an outline of how evolution has progressed... But I think the point is made...

I think it may be more imagery of what man might just do to ourselves...

It's not scientifically accurate. Agreed.

But, as art... WOW!

The left side is history, the right side is evolution.

Really? I didn't get that feeling when I was looking at the mural(?)

That is awesome. I love this sort of... 'Anonymous, cynical' street art. The word 'graffiti' isn't good enough for that. :)

Yeah, I really think there should be two different terms for actual art and for those random lines and tags vandals spread that have no artistic value at all.

I really hope no one tries to tag over it or wash it off.

Here's the creator's youtube profile and here's his website. He does a load of awesome wall animations.

This is very clearly Italy, most likely North, but unable to be more accurate.

You just know someone is going to see that and say, "you are missing all the transitional forms, therefore evolution is a lie"

[–]Kinbensha 1 point2 points ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

More like they have things that have common ancestors as evolving into one another... which isn't what happened. Therefore, evolution is a lie.

I don't think it's really meant to be a factually accurate depiction of evolution though, so hopefully theists won't break their brains too much realizing it's just aesthetic.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the world was full of street art,.? People might learn and educate them self. Not the main stream media.

That is fucking cool. Inaccuracies aside, it's amazing and frankly pretty powerful.

An amazing example of artistic genius and skill.

Pretty, but why, if I may inquire, is this on r/atheism?

[–]tonyflow[S] 4 points5 points ago*

Evolution is a scientific fact, and most atheists rely on logic and science to escape religion. I feel like you should understand this by now.

[–]squigs 3 points4 points ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

It's also a scientific fact that we didn't evolve from mammoths though.

[–]reddituser780 0 points1 point ago

But we came from dinosaurs, right? That's why there's no dinosaurs; they became us.

Then I wonder why I don't see more submissions on plate tectonics here...

Sure they do dispute it; once you point out it makes clear that the Flood never happened and that it proves that the earth is indeed old.

Because non-religious people don't dispute plate tectonics

Probably meant religious there. ;-)

So you are saying that all science stories are appropriate for /r/atheism. Even ones where the science is utterly wrong. And math stories as well, right? Those rely on logic.

[–]Life1sBeautiful 0 points1 point ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

If that's the case we should merge r/science and r/atheism.

/sarcasm
