True story:

Our clever plan was to catch it on a matinee showing on a Sunday, when the crucifix-junkies were off getting their fix. But we were delayed, and ended up watching it with a crowd of Jeebus-freaks, high as kites after their church visit.

Behind us, a black family settled in, all dressed to the nines for church service. I felt sad, because their children were obviously far too young to view such a violent movie — I mean, I expected them to leave, and then have to go through the hassle of asking for their money back. But of course they didn't. They let their children see this gratuitous snuff film. That was pretty disturbing.

Then of course, there was the bit when the mother asked her husband, when the movie started, and the subtitles appeared: "Why is this movie in Mexican?" :)
