Bad comparison. It's not going by GDP or such but by actual amounts. Since different countries have different sizes this is useless as a comparison. Considering size and economy difference between The Uk and US for instance the gap between them is very small.

This is not a distinction that matters to aid recipients or makes a difference in their lives. You could argue that perhaps nations that give more per capita or GDP are more generous, but who gives the most, who actually provides the most in aid? The US does.
I'm not trying to be precious about this, I don;t care where it comes from. rather I;m saying that the chart is pointless as it doesn't actually compare anything. far more useful would ba a similarly done comparison of where the money goes.

I have two adopted brothers from haiti, both were brought to the states after age 18 after my mom met them during an army aid mission. There is a huge supernatural population in haiti and the populace gladly and fervently turns to christianity.. Their pious christianity was the reason for their adoption I wonder how much of it is just realizing that christians are an easy mark and give money/adopt you.. I've had numerous fb adds and requests for money/meds etc from friends of friends of theirs.. Unnerving to say the least.
