Beware of trading scammers!

A subreddit for anything related to games (but not sports). "Related" means that posts must contain gaming-related content in the link/post body, not just a "forced" connection via the title or a caption added to the content.

"Generic" image macros/memes (where the character itself is not related to gaming) like Scumbag Steve, Good Guy Greg, etc. will be removed. Something that "reminds you of a game", or "looks like something from a game" is also not an appropriate submission.

Posting Rules

  • Following Reddiquette is encouraged

  • Spoilers can be posted using the following formatting:
    [X Kills Y](/spoiler)
    Result: X Kills Y.

  • To mark a spoiler as relevant to a specific game/topic, use the alternate formatting:
    [Player 1 wins](/spoiler "Pong")
    Result:
    Player 1 wins

  • Report posts containing spoilers not using the above method

  • Don't post users' personal information.

There was supposed to be one, there is even some early footage of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aj56okQaxZI It was canned when Microsoft stopped producing games and started making there own. When Digital Anvil lost Microsoft's money they went under.... to bad would have been awesome.

Didn't know that actually... I'd heard they went out of business and that was about it.

Any recommendations on space-sim style games with similar levels of open-endedness? I could spend hours just cruising around the galaxy looking for wormholes in Freelancer. So much fun.

I would suggest the X series. The best so far is Terran Conflict. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X%C2%B3:_Terran_Conflict It has a steeper learning curve but I have had some amazing fleet battles and have a lot of fun in that game.

Regardless of how many times this comes up in a given month, I will upvote it still. I want developers to see this and make a new one, regardless of how futile that actually is.
