People think pandas are nice, but they're not. I have a friend that worked with a panda. Like most of his coworkers, he liked the panda because it was cute and seemed really laid-back.

Management noticed that people had been covering for the panda while it mostly just sat there and chewed on bamboo. When they finally called the panda in for a performance review, it went ballistic and building security had to be called. It ended up with the police arriving, and ultimately the panda was shot.

According to my friend, his company has not officially changed its policy about hiring pandas, but he did note that the panda's position was filled by a koala. He says that the koala seems pretty nice so far.
