Well heres my take on this - Adam Levine comes from an interesting place musically. And right now, he's getting a lot of attention for things other than "being a rock star". So i think he was using that as a bit of a way to say "hey, remember me, im a rock star too! Fuck You!" and so he thumbs his nose at this kind of thing to help the image. He claims to have moves like jagger, but he hangs out with Christina Aguillera...I think he was doing that as a way to be "edgy" and reposition himself.

As for the Foo's, as i said, Dave Grohl seems like an awesome dude. and i think he realizes, especially with what happened to his first band, that it can all be taken away really quickly and that you have to be gracious for the attention youre given. i agree with you that showing up and being gracious is the way to go. that being said, i have a hard time thinking if given the opportunity that i would turn it down either. and like i said in a different post, its good exposure. tons of people watch that show and who knows, maybe someone went out and bought a Foo Fighters record because of it. And its probably a giant party anyhow. im sure there wassome fun night life happening after the festivities somewhere.

it was more of a shock to me, really, when i turned that prorgram on and saw them at all. i thought they handed out like three awards "this ones for Beiber, this ones for gaga, and this one is for some old pop star. GOODNIGHT EVERYBODY"
