        Tell your friend that this image made me cry. My little guy takes a different teddy to bed every night. He hides it under the sheets and makes me guess which one it is ... it's a long process and sometimes I get so frustrated and just wish he'd outgrow the teddy stage. This reminded me of why he needs his friend. It's perfect.

          tineye only takes a few seconds, and has two results. one of those results prominently lists the artists name. Googling that name leads to the deviantart page linked above (first result in fact).

          To be fair, TinEye doesn't always work, and finding the original source can often be a chore much longer than a few seconds.

          Pro Tip:

          1. Use http://KarmaDecay.com
          2. If a previous post exists, a link to the original source will likely be one of the top rated comments.
          3. If no previous posts exists, use the links on KD to both TinEye and to Google's reverse image search.

          first of all, this is not to a friend, this is to a public and popular site where it has the chance of becoming a hit (and it did). when something gets so much attention, the source should be recognized.
          second of all, this not just a quick laugh. he said it's one of his favourite pictures on the internet.
          really though, i don't care if he doesn't give credit to the artist. my point was that squired overreacted, not that credit should have been given to the artist. i think that if someone was truly interested in finding out who the artist is, they would put enough effort into searching to find out.

            It's not a ring. It's just his knuckle. Compare with the other knuckles on the same hand. The thumb knuckle is especially visible.

            I still have mine he is pretty big, grey and only has one eye. I think i cut of his tongue when i was 7 because it wierded me out that he was always showing it.

            Reddit is mostly populated by scripts and account swarms. These accounts just look for old reddit posts that have done well and resubmit them, to build karma points. Once you have accounts with a good amount of posts and karma points, they'll appear "genuine", so you can do "genuine participation" advertising, like with the Suave Ice Soap post. Karma points are directly monetizable.

            A clear clue is: All accounts that end with numbers are part of a swarm, or run by scripts. Every single one of them.

            The fantastic thing about that is, even though the teddy bear is the most differently-colored object in the painting, and even though the light emanates directly from the bear, it's actually the last thing you notice.
