It's like he studied the parts of the structure but missed everything else - how the structure is founded, connected (disconnected areas), or it's purpose - built by man for use by man (no people present), or it's relationship to nature - reflecting the light, areas connected to the courtyard, natural creatures (wrong shadows, lacking birds/city creatures/etc., in the absence of humans).
