Are you blind? There's no building. It's just a tree a fountain, and a sky background.

Art school must have had tougher entrance requirements back then, these days you could get in on a portfolio filled with rage faces and stick men.

Well say what you will about the man. He didn't lack talents.

This is pretty good. I would probably tell him his in for next year's semester.

Not bad.

If people would have bought his art work and supported him he probably wouldn't have became a crazy fucker.

That courtyard in Munich still looks pretty much like that. I did a historical tour there a couple of years back and the guide took us there to stand where he painted.

It reminds me of that crappy level in Golden Eye that ends where you need to leave the building, and even though there's a million glass windows you can only escape out of one of them.

It's shitty work. Stark, bleak colors that you might see pre-dawn but the shadows are off. It's devoid of humanity and warmth. It also lacks a strong base for an architectural focus - see how the steps and other features just seem to float in places? It's like he studied the parts of the structure but missed everything else - how the structure is founded, connected (disconnected areas), or it's purpose - built by man for use by man (no people present), or it's relationship to nature - reflecting the light, areas connected to the courtyard, natural creatures (wrong shadows, lacking birds/city creatures/etc., in the absence of humans). This looks more like an exercise than an expression, and it's even poor for an exercise.

I can see why hearing something like this would make you want to start a holocaust. I think it looks solid, i could do better but this is still worth looking at.
