I initially had this thought until I stopped and thought about the fact that, unless I tell people, they have no idea who I am.

The point is, say whatever you want, even if you contradict yourself. Do whatever. What's the worse that can happen? Someone just tears you a block of text putting you down? Just laugh and realized you made someone, a stranger, get so pissed off, and to care so much as to give his/her opinion on what you said.

Now in a small way you are not alone, someone cares.

It's like anything else in life. Just post, and post and post and post. Post whenever you have an opinion on the topic. Get to where you can just say your mind when you feel like it. I make shitty posts that get downvoted into oblivion, and sometimes I get 397 upvotes with a single sentence.

Worst case scenario? "Oh no, people on the internet disagree with me!"

All I got to say is, If you make an account, you can change reddit settings so when you click on links, they automatically boot up in new tabs. Rather than having to manually open in in a new tab. I know I am lazy as shit, but when u are browsing like an addict, it helps.

It's not exclusively reddit; it's an internet discussion thing. If you state a position, someone is going to try to find flaws in your argument. A lot of the time it just builds healthy discussion, but often it does get a little petty and you just gotta know what feedback is worth listening to and what should be ignored.

And always ignore the downvotes. They are going to happen no matter what.

1) A post w/ 50+% negative comments may still yield a positive karma of 70% or more. Somehow the negative comments will seem louder than the positive karma. Don't let the negative comments get you down. 2) Speling/grammar Nazis abound. These guys are just bitter b/c they have no friends and they're English degree didn't get them a job outside of the food service industry. Ignore them. Troll them.
