What... is it?

I remember playing with those as a kid, but I cannot for the life of me remember what it is.

(yes, I am aware that it is LEGO. I'm Danish.)

Some genius at LEGO realized that kids (and adults) were destroying their fingers trying to separate blocks, so they invented these. Block Separators.

My only regret is that they were released when I was in that stage of life where it was unacceptable to play with LEGOs.

I felt the same way when Star Wars Lego came out. Totally gyped.

I first saw these when I was in about 8th grade, heading into high school. At the time, I thought I had an image or something to protect. I should have been playing with LEGOs all along.
