I had a cat that refused to drink out of the water bowl I had to turn on the faucet so she could drink otherwise I got to listen to constant meowing.

Just be on the lookout if your cat seems thirsty all the time. This happened to my cat about 6 months ago. He seemed thirsty all the time and would try to get water from the sink and bath. This was really our only warning sign to kidney failure.
