I can't remember what it was called but I think it was a "spin-off" of Married With Children. I think Matt LeBlanc and his dad lived together in a crappy apartment and came up with get-rich schemes, usually involving theft.

I put "spin-off" in quotes because it was one of those times when they actually created a new show that had nothing to do with any other show, but in order to get people to watch it they did a promotional crossover episode. They introduce the characters on an already popular show and then go "coming up next the new spin-off based on the episode you just watched!"

IIRC the same thing was done with Just the Ten of Us via Growing Pains (unlike Family Matters which was a genuine spin-off of Perfect Strangers, or Joanie Loves Chachi and Mork & Mindy via Happy Days).
