OK. Somebody-who-shall-remain-nameless questioned my citation with the following, then deleted their comment:

Did you even read what you linked to? It states that a single franchise owner in PA donated chicken sandwiches to a local organization that was homophobic. After the event corporate public apologized and stated they would no longer donate to any such organizations.

But I had already typed up all of this, so I'm going to reply anyways:

Did you even read the citations throughout the entire rest of that, or just the Wiki summary about one particular incident and jump to call bullshit?

Chick-fil-A has been a major contributor to Focus on the Family, who has a decidedly anti-gay stance. They also run WinShape Retreat, from which there are lots of nice e-mail exchanges to be found. There's the Kentucky Focus on the Family event, with lunch provided by - shockingly - Chick-fil-A. Do I need to keep going? I can do this all day, and so could you, if you'd fire up Google.

There's an extremely length history of incidents like this. The only countermeasure is their PR team saying "No no, we don't have an agenda."

Chick-fil-A's official stance is that these are independent franchise owners and rogue managers. That's what we call "public relations." It's hard to believe that there could be this much smoke without a fire. Particularly with their direct financial contributions to Focus on the Family from top executives throughout the company, and a Corporate Mission Statement that says "To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us."

So you guys can make up your own minds. No, I don't have anything on Chick-fil-A letterhead that says "We hate the gays." - the closest would be the emails from WinShape Retreat. So you can make up your own mind as to the accuracy of me saying they openly oppose gay marriage.
