Well the range I go to is indoors. Smallish room, cement walls. I remember this one time an older guy brought his .50 S&W Magnum and stood 2 stalls to the left of me. That thing was a fucking cannon. Loudest gun I've ever heard. He could barely even hold it with the kickback.
Was at a shoot show, manufacturers lending out weapons to anyone, and got corralled into a stall in the smaller section of the underground range right next to the Barrett station when someone shelled out for a full magazine. Each round felt like it was lifting us off the floor.
