My thoughts exactly. A more accurate Baroque Obama would include a lot more billowing fabric, beams of light and god's omnipotence symbolized by naked babies.

I was alluding to a more Boticelli or Bernini interpretation of Baroque.

Chiaroscuro is a must however if you plan on going full-on Caravaggio. That and violence. Lots of pretty-looking violence.

Then you might appreciate this little anecdote:

Much of my extended family is from backwoods Appalachian areas. One older uncle in particular was a good and fairly smart man but also mostly illiterate and never schooled. His wife was an RN. Very literate and well schooled.

Anyway, one day my cousin was doing homework for school and asks his father how you spell "ort" as in "Boy, I ort ta whoop you!" and his mother immediately jumps in with "There's no such word as 'ort'!"

But his father insists, "Oh yes there is: O-R-T. ORT!"

My cousin never graduated high school. He got in too many fights. Of course, it was around that time when his mom got scared and sent him to live with us in Bel Air.

I studied fine art in high school , and baroque art is supposed to have a dark to black background and everything must look like its lit with candlelight. For example Carravagio this however looks like renaissance art.
