          He almost surely means room temperature. The scale in consideration is the melting point of all metals, most of which melt at far higher temperatures. "Room Temperature" implies no need for any significant amount of added heat.

          I would think though, that for "scientific use" they just measure the dam temperature instead of saying conditions were at room temperature. I'm no scientist, but I'm pretty sure that's how science works.

              Yes, and will stain everything it touches...not nice to play with. I recommend playing a tiny bit of mercury a few times, then washing your hands very well and not doign it again ever. But a few times in your life is fine. And fun

                  I used to wish I could get ahold of some gallium and experience this; maybe mint some coins out of it as a prank, because the idea of my own body heat melting something seemed unreal.
