It's missing some FX. Also you need a levelheaded ex-military guy on the right. He's got to be an excellent shot and probably an ex-wife that's only mentioned maybe once or twice.

edit: Is your cat sassy comic relief, a street-smart hothead, or is he the "by the books" hard nose? If he's the hardass bookish one, then the ex-military guy should probably be hotheaded instead of levelheaded and he's also gotta be streetwise.

The shadow is correctly placed, the light source is very close to to the viewpoint and the shadow on the carpet should be the same size as the one on the wall because of the fact that the cat is further away from the carpet.

The light source appears to be a flash that's located a bit northeast from the camera for some reason, makes me think it's handheld for some reason.

Anyway, if it's a shop then i can tell you its very well made, can't say I'm an expert but I'm definitely a capable amateur when it comes to photoshop.

Not sure why you're being down voted. The shadow on the wall looks to be about the same size as the one on the floor even though it is further in the distance.

Regardless. If I saw those claws coming at me with that calm look on its face I too would do whatever this cat said.

They SHOULD look about the same size. Yes, the carpet on the other side of the room is much farther away from our viewpoint than the wall is. However, the cat is also much farther away from the carpet than it is from the wall. The shadow on the carpet is large and far away, the shadow on the wall is small and very close, which could easily cause them to appear similar in size in a photograph.

exactly. The shadow in the background IS much larger, but because it is farther away it looks smaller. Kinda like how the door is the same size as the cat, but you know it's bigger.

You have to take into account that you are looking at a 2 dimensional representation of 3 dimensional space. It is hard to visually gauge depth in a photo and that tends to make shadows look distorted.
