Of course! This is where Camping failed. You see, he didn't see the importance of the repost index. Let's say we have the original repost with an index of n=1, and a 5th generation repost n=5. It's logical, they can't have the same amount of effect on the date of the rapture. Also, you have to take into consideration the amount of reposts by index.

PS The addition of a repost slightly decreases the individual repost's effect, but increases the overall effect.

I'd like to call into question the accuracy of this pie chart.

While at first glance you may think it would be impossible to dispute the information represented within the pie chart; allow me to point something out. There is no evidence that the missing portion of this pie was in fact, eaten. Let alone that it was solely eaten by the creator of this image.

If anyone can offer evidence to the contrary, I welcome it.

This should be a forum of TRUTH, not half-truths, lies and deceit.

Incorrect, the empty section is described as representing the portion of the pie he has eaten. The key would say the same thing even if it was a typical pie chart drawn on a piece of paper.

Incorrect, the key on the pie chart merely states 'Pie I have eaten', while this does indeed imply that this portion of the pie is missing due to the creator of this image having allegedly consumed it; it explicitly describes this portion of the pie, as pie.

Therefor it is simply a misrepresentation of information to assume that the missing portion of this graphic is missing pie.

It would serve you well to have a second take at the information provided in the image Mr. WSR.

In all (most?) other cases, slices on a pie chart are not formed of the items described by the key, and are representative of their proportions relative to one another, so that gives the author the license to say the empty section represents pie he/she ate previously.

A large portion of pies are pre-made and sold. Pies made at restaurants are also transported to the table before being consumed. Many others are often much to hot to eat "on the spot" and must cool at least several minutes before being eaten.

Some because they burned themselves.
Some because they were supposed to carry it out to a customer.
Some because it was supposed to be put in a box and shipped to a store.

Also, there is a much larger portion of pie not eaten, by whoever "I" is supposed to represent as "pie" would include all pies. The key should specify portion of a pie, this pie, or the pie I made on dd/mm/yyy pie.

Even if you assume Pie refers only to the pie used for the chart and the charts creator ate the missing piece. I am very skeptical, that the chart creator would not have eaten more of said pie by now.

That's probably less accurate (actually, it's almost certainly less accurate, since the pie chart here is perfectly accurate), but creating that strip requires algebra due to the dependency loops (well, to do it correctly, but based on Randall's previous comics, he probably did the math) and creating the picture in this post requires none.

That gives me a great idea. Carry a pacman eye around with you. If you ever arrive at a party where there is a yellowish pie, wait until about two people have gotten their slice, then stick the eye in the custard/lemon/whatever. Some will think it's unsanitary, some will think it's really cool.
