  1. No screenshots, or pictures with added or superimposed text. This includes image macros, comics, info-graphics and most diagrams. Text (e.g. a URL) serving to credit the original author is exempt.

  2. No gore or porn. NSFW content must be tagged.

  3. No personal information. This includes anything hosted on Facebook's servers, as they can be traced to the original account holder. Stalking & harassment will not be tolerated.

  4. No solicitation of votes (including "cake day" posts), posts with their sole purpose being to communicate with another redditor, or [FIXED] posts. DAE posts go in /r/DoesAnybodyElse. "Fixed" posts should be added as a comment to the original image.

I use mine for watercolor. Draw some designs on the paper with the white crayon then paint over them. The paint runs right off of the wax and leaves the shapes you drew.

This would make for either an amazing Crayola ad campaign or the start of a modern art museum exhibition. Imagine a gallery of these things and all the possible executions of pop icons you could make with the idea. Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles, Harry Potter, X-men... This got me thinking. When it comes to crayons, why the fuck do we associate that strangely darker gray with a black crayon? It seems really weird to me.
Would we have learned to associate a different color, like a green or red, with black if Crayola had used that? That's my two cents on Star Wars crayons minus the Star Wars.

if that's a real question, or to develop the thought further, we don't associate black with any of RGB because it's an equal 100% combination of all. 255+255+255=black 150+150+150=grey. But only in additive color, of an object, subractive color 0,0,0=black, like a light-bulb.

Hmm. It actually wasn't a question regarding colors in general, but specifically crayons.
If you saw the wrappers for each crayon without the actual crayon, you would be able to put them together appropriately, even though the wrapper for the black crayon is a dark gray.
What if it was another strange color? Would it still work?

I was looking at these. I never had crayons with these wrappers but they seem to have the same colour as the crayons but a different brightness, so I'm thinking you'd pick the crayon that would resemble the wrappercolour the most. After picking the obvious ones, it's probably more about what you are left with. If there was a gray crayon, you'd assign the gray wrapper to that first, then to the black if there was one left. So I don't think you are necessarily associating that gray with black and if the wrapper for the black crayon was yellow, you'd probably only match it because it's what's left. Not sure if this made sense :D
