Could have been constructed from the outside, or they simply drove out. Look at the bottom right hand corner in the picture, it has tracks.

I am trying to figure out why there should be earth-moving equipment.

More work went into building that wall than went into building that tiny wood house. Good job though, it worked.

I think I saw this guy on the news not long ago. If I'm right he's a canadian over in the prairies where there's massive flooding happening. The decided to open some levies to drain the water towards a different residential area to save another and only gave the residents a few days notice.

I saw him with his equipment saying he's either doing this to save his house or there won't be anything to come back to. Fucking A.

Looks like the levee is worth more than the house.

Displays of overt patriotism or national pride seem gaudy to me and needlessly prideful. But in this case, I felt a great deal of pride seeing that picture. This is classic American ingenuity and perseverance. Mighty Mississippi ain't got nothin on an American protecting his castle.

It looks like it quite possibly could have cost him more in fuel to move that earth than the house is worth! :-0 Not that I wouldn't do the same thing no matter how modest my home...but... Sheesh. With the no interest loans that they are handing out to flood victims, I would think he could build that place again easily.

It isn't that expensive to run a bulldozer or a front end loader, and chances are as a farm he already owned at least one of them.

He just wanted to make his house zombie-proof.
