My brother is a firefighter. When someone asks them to get their cat out of a tree, their official response is "Sir/Ma'am, we can't get your cat out of your tree. Have you ever seen a cat skeleton in a tree? It'll come down"

The reason they get "stuck" up trees is because their claws only work in one direction. In order to get down the way they came up, they'd have to go down ass first, and they don't seem to like that idea.

My usually just ran down the tree like a boss.

And then it ran away like a asshole cat.

I was spazzing out about my cat being stuck in a tree when I was a kid: cooing and at times practically screaming to get him down. I honestly thought he was stuck, until he casually ran vertically down the whole thing headfirst and walked away like a boss. I was about to climb onto the neighbor's roof and jump over to save him too.

They didn't climb up trees and pretend to be stuck since there were no firefighters to fuck with.

Edit: Clarified firefighters didn't come before humanity.

My cat often gets stuck on top of tall drawers. She meows for half an hour. If nobody helps (she sometimes just sits there purring, expecting us to notice), she just jumps on the closest face or a plant. It kind of sucks that one of these drawers is at the end of my bed. Mom decided that it would be funny to put cat's towel (cat sleeps on it) on the top and see what happens. Big ball of claws and hair lands on your face at 3am, that's what. TL;DR: I'm having a nightmare where lions and tigers are chasing me. Just before death I wake up, yet tigers and lions are still tearing my face apart.
