Some. The trick is that you need not just one spamblog, but more like 100 of them, with all similar text and pictures. With sufficient link diversity, it'll continue to circulate for a while without people saying, "Oh, I've seen that".

You'll also make some from making karma points on a shell reddit account, which you can then sell to a PR firm.

Another good trick is to slam together some crappy iPhone apps or games or something, and advertise them through your site, using a QR code or something. People are pretty compulsive with that stuff, and the bar is pretty low.

There's also advertising opportunities outside of just Adwords. Various current trends .. zygna crap, evony, etc.

I don't see any shortage of content and if you are finding there is not enough to keep you busy on reddit you are in trouble. People giving a repost upvotes means they didn't see it before. Yes it's annoying, but oh well. Bury it and move on, you don't have to look at it ever again (well, until the next repost). Nobody is forcing you. It won't harm you in any way, I'm certain of it.

right, but if they go to the comments and see "oh look, a repost from days ago," they probably won't upvote. I hadn't seen this post, but I downvoted because I have seen reposts of other shit and yes it is annoying.

That's the solution.

That's the point of having someone who has seen it point it out. Like you say, there's plenty of content on reddit, missing one post/repost because someone pointed out that it was in fact a repost isn't going to hurt.
