The docket is terrible and the entire day is at stake

The competition is fierce, a thousand gazes from eyes ice cold

The first man rose to give a speech, on some terrible bill

About aborting gay marijuana, or some other spiel

He rose to his feet with a smile and nod

But my god was this motherfucker a sod

Dressed in a lumberjack's ware, beard unshaven

A man like this had no real chance

He was a specter, a ghost, a white winged raven

A product of a cruel gods malevolence

.

His voice was deep, his face was hairy, his shirt was red-plaid, and his laugh was merry

Yet when he began to speak, his voice did carry

Of truth and eloquence, of evil and love, of a thousand and one ways to improve the nation

with the booming message of "Pro choice States Rights Taxable Legalization"

A moment of stunned silence at what had just happened

Seemed to wash over the room

what was once a hall of whispers became quiet as a tomb

and then, all at once, they rose

And the rest of the (student) congressmen began then to question...

"But the data shows" "Get me the facts Stat!" "Dont you know" "Were you aware that"

Picking away at his speech bit-by-bit, but he would not stand for this puerile bullshit

His voice boomed ever louder, and he shouted with a roar

"Mexican cartels would begin their withdraws, gays would have rights under the laws, Women would be free from such stupidity"

Hopes of all Americans rely on the validity, of personal determination, of independent deviation, of the inherent morality of our station

as defenders of truth and justice, as Representatives of the robustest forms of American morality, which is to say that we are subject to no authority

Save the common denominator and watermark of our fellow man"

He walked with silence from the stand, shaking just a bit

The only thought to enter my mind was a single phrase...

to this brave lumberjack, I simply whispered...."Nailed It"

which I uttered in that vacuum of time before the minds of the rest had caught up
