Everything Wrong With America: Pastor Makes Over $200 Million A Year Tax-Free, Even Though He Directly Asked For Donations Towards A $36 Million Dollar Private Plane. Oh, And He Pretends To Cure AIDS With A 'Jesus Jacket'. (prosebeforehos.com)

Camel through the eye of a needle huh?
[–]craiggers 29 points30 points31 points 1 year ago
I think the "Eye of the Needle" is the name of his new camel-transporting jet.
[–]ImNakedHowBoutYou 6 points7 points8 points 1 year ago
The actual translation is "rope" through the eye of a needle, which makes a lot more sense. The "camel" is a very oft-quoted mistranslation.
[–]halfmanmonkey 5 points6 points7 points 1 year ago
Citation?
[–]SafeSituation 16 points17 points18 points 1 year ago
"The Aramaic word gamla means camel, a large rope and a beam. The meaning of the word is determined by its context. If the word riding or burden occurs then gamla means a camel, but when the eye of a needle is mentioned gamla more correctly means a rope. There is no connection anywhere in Aramaic speech or literature between camel and needle, but there is a definite connection between rope and needle."
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
The way I heard it was that "Eye of the needle" also referred to some sort of rock formation that would be extremely tough to get a camel through.
[–]ShasOFish 5 points6 points7 points 1 year ago
And a T-16, but Luke did it anyway.
[–]SafeSituation 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago*
The linked article says that the formation has been referenced, but "'there is no historical evidence to support this'. The context of His teaching does not place Him around camels or city gates, and with 'no historical evidence to support' the idea that He was indeed referring to a camel going through a city gate, it seems to me quite a stretch to assume Bullinger is right."
[–]narky1 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
I heard it was just a hole into a place that was only big enough for a man or his animal, but not everything at once ..
But this : http://www.biblicalhebrew.com/nt/camelneedle.htm says that's wrong.
[–]doctorcrass 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago
either way it doesn't fit.
[–]yoda133113 4 points5 points6 points 1 year ago
True, but a statement that goes against some of the longest and most popular translations of the Bible without a citation is kinda pointless and pretty much begs for a "Citation?" request.

[–]Bob_the_Hamster 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
I remember a pastor in a church I went to as a kid explaining in a sermon that "Eye of the Needle" was the special title of a specific gate through the walls of Jerusalem that was only just barely big enough to let one camel through at a time.
I have extremely high confidence that he was just making it up on the spot ;)
[–]SafeSituation 5 points6 points7 points 1 year ago
He may not have been
[–]Law_Student 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
Er, your link suggests he was.
[–]heffocheffefer 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
The link suggests that someone made up the gate idea, but not that pastor. Plenty of people think the gate idea is true, even though it is not.
[–]gordo65 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
True, but that misses the point. Jesus was saying that there are virtually no rich people who go to heaven.
[–]ChaosBeast 174 points175 points176 points 1 year ago
Waaaaitaminnit......Condoms prevent the transmission of AIDS/HIV, so I'm going to refer to condoms as Jesus Jackets from this moment forth.
[–][deleted] 64 points65 points66 points 1 year ago
It might not work if it's holy.
[–]Omnicrola 21 points22 points23 points 1 year ago
If it's a holy condom, it will only allow the One True Sperm to pass through it into the Holy Land.
[–]Maeglom 21 points22 points23 points 1 year ago
that or it will do an extra 2d6 of damage vs. evil, and by pass damage reduction / good.
[–]Picklebiscuits 4 points5 points6 points 1 year ago
Not only do you provide an amazingly geeky comment, but you linked a citation. Bravo!
[–]TheScotchDivinity 4 points5 points6 points 1 year ago
I don't think my penis can handle 2d6 damage.

Interestingly enough, Muslims use this as justification for the use of birth control. Basically, if god wants there to be a baby, there will be a baby. [Source: my sister who just wrote a paper on sex and Islam.]

My uncle used to be one of his body guards. I am Edit: "church questionable" because of that.
Basically what used to happen was when they would travel to events, Benny Hinn and his people would rent out like 20 rooms (nicest rooms available) and say "order what ever you would like to eat..." Im talking 50,000 for a two day stay.
But it gets better (or worse). Look for the videos of all the wheel chairs and oxygen tanks being brought up on stage during his "performances". The crowd is made to believe that there were taken from "healed" individuals in the crowd... In fact, a 25' trailer was where they kept these "props" for each "show".
Little old ladies gave all their money to this man and "god".... Yet "lived" on a diet of cat food and tap water...Think im joking... Its documented.
[–]false_profit 62 points63 points64 points 1 year ago
Jesus said: Beware of the [preachers], who like to walk around in long robes, and love respectful greetings in the market places, and chief seats in the synagogues and places of honor at banquets, who devour widows’ houses, and for appearance’s sake offer long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation. (luke 20:46-47)
[–]DroppaMaPants 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
your name is apt to this conversation
[–]GunnerMcGrath 148 points149 points150 points 1 year ago
To say you're anti-church because of Benny Hinn is like saying you're anti-sports because you found out professional wrestling is scripted. That guy was the most laughable and disgusting so-called Christian for decades until the WBC showed up.
[–][deleted] 109 points110 points111 points 1 year ago
I think he's worse than the WBC (and there have been other pastors like him). The WBC just say nasty things. This guy actively preys on people's faith to take their money.
[–]moogle516 36 points37 points38 points 1 year ago*
WBC doesn't steal people's money, sure they piss people off for a short time but they aren't preying on tens of thousands of unsuspecting people and taking advantage of them by liquidating their entire life savings and crippling their standards of living to absyml levels.
Say what you will but Benny Hinn is way worse and evil then WBC.
Oral Roberts another Charelton like Benny Hinn liquated one of my close families members entire bank account, and made them go even crazy. people like this deserve to be shot in the face upon site.
[–]hookedupphat 24 points25 points26 points 1 year ago
Even the WBC looks at Benny Hinn and says "what an asshole"
[–]questionablemoose 21 points22 points23 points 1 year ago
WBC think everyone's an asshole.
[–]dawsonhunter 6 points7 points8 points 1 year ago
Or rather: "God Hates Benny Hinn!"
[–]sfacets 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
So why aren't they picketing his shows?
[–]ShamanChemistry 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
Proof that greed is worse than hate? This guy agrees.
[–]capal 7 points8 points9 points 1 year ago
I would seriously recommend watching Derren Browns show on Channel 4, http://www.channel4.com/programmes/derren-brown-the-specials/4od#3182173 hopefully that will link to it. Really does show all the evangelist bullshit as the con it really is!
[–]PriscaDoulos 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
The ones that use those manipulation techniques. It's not that hard to spot some people who clearly teach non-Christian stuff.
And many people go to those conmen because they promise unconditional wealth and joy and health, to live like a total victor, so on and so forth because that's what matters to them. It's non-sense o sell that and call it Christian no matter how much those people try.
[–]maleman 8 points9 points10 points 1 year ago
It sucks but sometimes I feel like most people dumb enough to give money to this asshole deserve what's coming to them.
[–]syuk 12 points13 points14 points 1 year ago
Elderly infirm people are the ripest to pick, just look at all those ads on tv for pledges and direct debit donations. An old lady nearby got into all sorts of crap by pledging money to this that and the other that she couldn't pay, nursing homes are the same in some cases.
All this begging should be stopped, or at least measures put into place to stop older people getting into a terrible mess because of the way they push them.
[–]MaidenLane 5 points6 points7 points 1 year ago
Devil's Advocate here: It's not right to prey on anyone, especially the vulnerable, but these people are fucking morons.
They cut their own throats on wishful thinking and delusions. If they would exercise some control over their finances and emotions, Benny Hinn would never make a dime.

[–]Mr-Papple 7 points8 points9 points 1 year ago
No, im anti church because of my Uncle. I have no longer the ability to trust those who are using a people belief system for financial gain. It was an eye opener to learn that he was in the motivation of completing the same task. Some how my family can accept that, yet my questioning religion in general is forbidden. Its about priorities.
[–]GunnerMcGrath 8 points9 points10 points 1 year ago
Well I totally agree with you that you should not trust people who use religion for financial gain. But please don't think that all churches, or even a large minority, are tricking people for the sake of getting rich. It happens, and it's despicable, just as pedophile clergymen are despicable, but it in no way represents the norm.
[–]Mr-Papple 14 points15 points16 points 1 year ago
I haven't condemned all Churches yet.. And I probably wont ever...
And of course, I understand the NEED for individuals to attend a church... Its an easy and accepted way to find fellowship. If anything I commend those who are accepting to EVERYONE.
Sadly, I also attended a bible camp as a youth. Although the practice of religion happened during the morning and then immediately after dinner, I was not pleased with seeing 7 year old children crying out in psychological anguish as they "accept" Jesus into their simple minds. You know what that does to a child that age... It scares them into believing something someone else wants them too.. and I personally think that trait follows at least 40% of them through life...
That overemotional stuff is just bad and meaningless and I agree not even Christians should send their child there or attend to a church that applies the same manipulative techniques. I believe this all boils down to bad doctrine.
[–]OCedHrt 6 points7 points8 points 1 year ago
This is the part that I don't get. $200 million is a lot of donations. From a lot of people. But they keep getting downplayed as a very small minority. How bad does it have to get before it is recognized as a problem?
It's just like molesting pastors, except this time it's your bank account.
[–]GunnerMcGrath 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago
What I'm mainly focusing on is that Benny Hinn is one very well-known fraud who is an extreme minority among all the pastors in the world, just as the pedophiles are a small minority of all priests. Doesn't mean it's not a problem, it's absolutely a problem, and any sane person would try to talk anyone out of donating money to this idiot. I would also say that the people who believe this guy probably don't have much of a concept of Christianity in general. They're either delusional or just so desperate to get better from their sickness that they're willing to try anything. It's very sad and offensive.
[–]babycheeses 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
Benny Hinn is one very well-known fraud who is an extreme minority among all the pastors in the world
Not really, no.
He's simply the achiever in the bunch.
[–]eloquentnemesis 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
The difference between Benny and a standard church is that he knows it is a scam and is therefore more effective in getting donations with theater and preying on the weakest minded.
[–]SpudgeBoy 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
So, just how many plants did Hin have with him. There are lines of people waiting to be hit with the holy jacket.
[–]Mr-Papple 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
You would be surprised... A majority of the people who went up were the real deal.... I remember one story about how a lady with lupus came up and claimed she was cured.... They turned her away and took her to a back room and "prayed" with her...
[–]SpudgeBoy 11 points12 points13 points 1 year ago
You're saying that a lot of the people falling down after getting hit by the jacket are not plants? Wow, simply amazing.
Me and a buddy went to see a comedian at the Improv one time and the opening act was a hypnotist. We were sitting in the front row and the guy asks for volunteers. We were like hell yeah. SO, we ducked under the bar height table we were at and went up and took a seat. The hypnotist did a thing where he said he was going to test who could be hypnotized. Of course me and my buddy were chosen as ones that "could not be hypnotized." But we didn't get up and stayed in our seats and pretended to be "sleeping." He leaned over and said "If you guys fuck up my show I will have you bounced out on your asses." So, we waited until the middle of his act, stood up and went straight to the manager and told him what the dude said. We got free passes to a night when the hypnotist wouldn't be there, a free drink and we fucked up his show. Ever since that time, I always wonder how many plants people like the hypnotist and Hin bring with them.
[–]skarcasm 8 points9 points10 points 1 year ago
There are videos of the ENTIRE AUDIENCE falling down. When I was little, I went to one of the shows. It's all hype and hysteria and talking emphatically. It was really easy to buy into when I still believed in that.
The falling down thing is a pentacostal/non-denominational staple. I saw it in every church I ever attended. My dad was a pastor and he did it too.
[–]stufff 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago

A few years ago somebody mashed up a video making a joke of Benny Hinn's faith healing using Drowning Pool's "Bodies".
Here it is.
First use of that song in a Youtube video that I actually enjoyed.
For the record, Benny Hinn is potentially the biggest joke and fraud in all of Christianity. He makes Pat Robertson look respectable. Also, that gif his hilarious.
[–]tony_bologna 15 points16 points17 points 1 year ago
I want to be furious at this guy, but I can't help thinking:
"Cure AIDS with a 'Jesus Jacket'"
If you buy this line... well shit. I mean, I kind of have to hold you partly responsible.
[–]andbruno 7 points8 points9 points 1 year ago
Yeah, he didn't make them stupid. He merely realized that they're dumb, and decided to exploit that fact.
[–]thegodlessgirl 13 points14 points15 points 1 year ago
As a hard working, broke, unemployed 22 yr old atheist, I am now seeing the light and converting to Christianity in hopes of paying my bills.
[–]andbruno 11 points12 points13 points 1 year ago
They're god's bills now, my son.
[–]amosh 7 points8 points9 points 1 year ago
As a Christian, myself and everyone I know holds Benny Hinn in contempt. He is a scam artist and a deceiver. I know some jackass redditor will say something like "aren't all minister scam artist? lol different beliefs".
TL;DR - Even Christians hold this man in contempt. He preys on the naivety of new Christians for the sole purpose of making money.
[–]_Tyler_Durden_ 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
I thought Christians were supposed to love everybody, even those who made your own brand of superstition look bad, no?
[–]jpark 5 points6 points7 points 1 year ago
Why don't we start with what is wrong with this title?:
1) This is not "everything wrong with America".
2) The article stated that the ministry collected $200 million a year (not the Pastor).
a) Receipts (collections) are not equivalent to profit (what one 'makes'). b) The article stated that the ministry asked for donations for a plane (not the pastor).
Many organizations abuse tax exempt status. Perhaps it should be eliminated or considerably restricted.
[–]deltusverilan 54 points55 points56 points 1 year ago
I'm sorry to have to break this to you, alecb, but America did not invent religion. Nor did it invent tax-free status for religious organizations. Nor did it invent con men. Nor, most importantly, is it the only place in the modern world where these things can be found. I will remind you that Europe is chock full of Catholics, and the Catholic church is the organization the successfully bullied the governments of the western world into not imposing taxes on them.
[–]Atreides_Zero 7 points8 points9 points 1 year ago
I was hoping he was just refering to exploitive douchebags.
Cause it's the exploitive douchebags in charge of our banking system and wall street that fucked up the economy. It's the explotive douchebags in our political system that are trying to strip our rights while pointing at single issues like Abortion or terrorism for why they need to 'suspend' our rights. And it's the exploitive douchebags in religion who robe the faitful blind and mislead thousands with false prophet talk of AIDs curing coats.
The root of America's problem is exploitive douchebags.
[–]jplvhp 9 points10 points11 points 1 year ago
uhhhhh, that's nice.
Does not, in any way, change the fact that people like this could be what's wrong with America, but ok.
[–]mrincognito 10 points11 points12 points 1 year ago
To be honest its not this asshole that's wrong with America. Whats wrong with America is the poor education that leads to people believing this asshole.

[–]wolfsktaag 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago*
slight correction, his company brings in 200mil, not him individually. and preachers do pay taxes on their income. that includes televangicals working for their own non profits
[–]TheContrarian2 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
As a Christian, I'd kindly ask that you not call this guy a pastor. He's a charlatan, a scam artist and a destroyer of faith of many without discernment. He does not represent Jesus Christ or the many hard working Christian pastors of multiple denominations. He's storing up wrath like you wouldn't believe for his treacherous acts.
[–]d_b_cooper 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
I'm a Christian and absolutely DESPISE Benny Hinn and his ilk. They aren't Christian, they're evil, twisted businessmen. I play a game when I'm bored. I turn on my local TV to TBN or something and see how long it takes for them to speak heresy (something obviously non-Christian). It usually takes about 15 seconds.
[–]rospaya 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
Now now, let's be fair. There's a lot more wrong with America than that.
[–]mossyskeleton 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
I keep forgetting that there are people like this in the world, and that they are the basis for my reasoning that I am completely free to do whatever the hell I feel like doing with my time and with my life.
So, thanks, crazy-ass worthless pastor man. Thanks.
I'm gonna go play a game of softball, and maybe smoke some marijuana beforehand.
[–]troublef 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
It doesn't say the Benny Hinn makes $200 Million a year... it says his organization does. Still an evil man, but that's just not what the article says.
[–]porkchop_d_clown 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
Handy hint: Pastors pay taxes, too.
The inability of Reddit to distinguish between people and corporations is endlessly fascinating.

This guy's from around here, unfortunately. I'm also going to have to add to this discussion that he just recently admitted to having an affair with another pastor: http://apprising.org/2010/08/10/benny-hinn-admits-his-relationship-with-paula-white/

I want someone who has been "cured" by Benny Hinn to do an AMA haha
[–]ifeelstabby 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
Admit it. You all wanted to be on that stage.
[–]Tsujigiri 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago*
Ok, how on Earth has this footage not been put to the Benny Hill theme song? I mean, his freakin' name is Benny Hinn.
Edit: Nevermind, found it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYoqoxN_nGI

P. T. Barnum would be proud.
[–]damnitscold 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
I think you will find the extreme majority of mainstream Christians have nothing but contempt for this man. At least that has been my experience.
[–]ext1rpate 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
So basically you're saying that religion is what's wrong with America? These nuts exists everywhere, not just here... Same thing goes for the dumb followers who are stupid enough to give this man money for smacking them with his jacket.
These people are everywhere.
[–]notlooking4treble 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
unfortunately this is quite short of "everything wrong with america"
[–]FVAnon 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
You mean they don't have con artists in other countries?
Using superstition to embezzle the gullible out of their hard earned money is nothing new, nor exclusive to America.
[–]Kalysta 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
It's a Miracle! I can assault Americans and not get sued!!!
He is like sauron in the battle at the foot of Mt. Doom. at the beginning of the Fellowship of the ring.
[–]UsernameUser 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
half of those people were falling over before the jacket even came near them. I have serious suspicions about the authenticity of this magic jacket.
[–]Zagaz 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
For the love of.. I'm a christian and that's fucking embarrassing.
A guy prayed for me once with his hand on my head, the dumb fuck actually tried to push me over to "fake" me falling down due to the sheer pressure of God.
[–]ohyeah_mamaman 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
My parents used to attend some of his preaching circuits when he was still gaining popularity. Then after several times doing so, they attended one where he was preaching a sermon as usual, then suddenly stopped in the middle of talking about the Holy Spirit. He then declared "In fact, the Holy Spirit is right in this room, right this minute! Look, he is descending upon me...oh! My hands! They are covered with the blood of Christ! Look! Look at the blood!" while holding his hands up to the audience and cameras. My parents immediately left and never watched him again. After that sermon, he began to dress in all white and do things like that on a regular basis in addition to ripping people off.
[–]Necrowizard 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
Derren Brown just made a show about this "cure with magic" stuff
[–]eodp3 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
this guy is a con man. simple as that.
[–]danglybits57 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
Greed, manipulation, and corruption aren't exclusive to America. Its more of a humanity thing.
he just earns money from stupid people..stupid people dont deserve to keep their money..

This is that Star Wars thing if you've seen it.
even though "jesus jacket" is hilarious this guy is an asshole and needs to be harpooned in the dick.
[–]boxxa 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
This is all over the place. I was in Texas and my friends church he told me needs funds to keep both branches open. One is downtown and the other is about a 20minute drive to the suburbs. Would be acceptable however the pastor takes a helicopter between the two places.
[–]psychopete 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
This has nothing to do with the government and everything to do with people being stupid.
I've spoken with Jesus, he says he's given me the power to cure stupidity. Here, eat this bullet and you'll be saved.
[–]wikileaked_on_myself 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
It's funny you submitted this, as I have a small personal story relevant to this. I live in a town of about 10000 people. My wife and I were driving to the local ice cream shop, and we saw one of our local pastors driving a late model BMW Z-3 convertible with the top down. I turned and made the comment, looks like someone's been dipping in the collection plate. How is this justifiable, much less even possible in such a relatively small community?
[–]GodHatesChristians 4 points5 points6 points 1 year ago
You can't ask people to put aside their logic to believe in a magic man in the sky and then get upset when that missing logic leads them to support a miracle worker acting on behalf of the big guy. The problem here is that religion is a culture of false hope predicated on easing fear of mortality that inevitably makes followers easy to control and manipulate.
[–]BettingPoland 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago

Everything wrong with religion.

[–]davidhildreth 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago
No, it's what's wrong with a specific douche bag.
[–]The_Dirty_Carl 5 points6 points7 points 1 year ago
Benny Hinn doesn't represent religion.
[–]feanturi 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
No, that's what's wrong with a specific religion.
[–]ChaosBeast 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
Actually, that's what's wrong with all religions.
[–]feanturi 6 points7 points8 points 1 year ago
Really? They've all got flashy TV evangelists with Jesus Jackets? I don't think so, not at all. It doesn't even describe all of Christianity, much less ALL religions.
[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago
You haven't seen the Imams and Shahs do their TV rants to destroy the infidels. Most other religions don't do it because they don't have resources. You haven't seen the pope on TV? Do you have any idea how rich the Vatican is?
It may be in a different form, but it's still the evil of religion.
All religions require absolute belief in them. Absolute belief is very easily exploited by all manner of snake-oil salesmen. And yes, they all do have their own versions of this douche in one form or another.
[–]superwinner 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago*
They're all scams regardless, just because some of them are positively big business type scams and all the rest are relatively small scale scams is irrelevant.
Its the same scam as pet rock, only in religion what you get is an imaginary rock.
[–]primesuspect 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
This isn't what's wrong with America. It's what's wrong with people who believe in god.
[–]Bel-Shamharoth 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago
On behalf of my father, a pastor who makes at max 30,000 a year, I would like to direct a nice loud "Fuck you, you cock-smocking asshole" to this douchebag.
[–]Rupp 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
That is why they call it God Business.

[–]fe3o4 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
You know, I used to do a pretty good impression of guys like this in high school... I wish I would have stuck with it now... $200 MILLION A YEAR !
Say yea-yes !!!!!
[–]MasterHerbologist 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
Honestly sometimes watching stuff like this makes me sad, but sometimes its a good laugh to see "grown" "men" shitting the bed wit insanity... Which is more pathetic, the Priest with the Warlocks Wardrobe, or the idiots walking into the Jacket of Jackoffs.
[–]CheesesOfNazareth 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
That's the most ridiculous rubbish display I've ever seen.
Also I hope that jacket didn't have a zipper thing at the bottom :/

It is guys like him that frustrate me along with the people who accept his words as true. Don't they see it is a scheme?
[–]Bob_the_Hamster 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
I had a great-aunt who refused conventional treatment for her cancer because she thought she was going on the Benny Hinn show to get "healed"
[–]richehh 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
I can't understand how fucking stupid you must be to believe this shit. Its like a monkey hitting a donkey with a fish and then taking the donkeys children to eat. Sort of.
Where can I get a Jesus Jacket? I want a Jesus Jacket.
[–]cmlow 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
People like this make me wish there actually was a Hell for them to rot for eternity in.
[–]twinsea 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
If you replace "Hinn" with "Hill" the article makes a lot more sense.
America?! Get a grip (and a realistic conception of the world as a whole)
[–]d_b_cooper 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
To quote The Incredibles, "You're not affiliated with me!"
[–]atlanticblue 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
I have mixed feelings about this.
I don't mind him conning the stupid so long as he doesn't do anything powerfully stupid with all that money.
[–]wtfisthatthing 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
Can somebody please unmask this charlatan? I don't know what it will take. Probably nothing short of taped evidence of him shitting on the image of Christ and while laughing his ass off but we can still try.
[–]BradMW 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
Don't be jealous just because he has less morals than you do.
[–]valkyrie123 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
He's like Benny Hill's evil twin.
[–]chendiggler 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
See guys, if you believe in Jesus you too can get $200 million a year. Obviously God wants this savior to have a nice jet, how else are he and is jacket supposed to get around the world quickly to heal the innocent.
Side note - There could be a really badass meme with this. Benny Hinn in pictures where he is whacking things with his jacket. Wish I knew photoshop...
[–]fumar 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago
Oh man I couldn't stop laughing at that gif!

I swear churches and pastors are the biggest money laundering scheme ever. I should have gotten into religion, I'd probably be raking in the money.

The Fifth Estate (Canadian equivalent of Dateline NBC) did a piece on him.
