Reminds me of when I was an international student in a foreign class. I am American and I was in Germany and didn't know German half as well as I thought I did. I get into class and they start talking about poverty and I'm lost within about 10 seconds. Finally the teacher goes, "So, willis13579, what do you think about poverty?" in English to me (remember I had no idea where the conversation had been going this whole time). I'm just like, "Uhh... It's bad," because I kinda just came into it cold and it's not a subject I don't know a ton about, followed by the longest most awkward silence in the history of my school career of people just looking at me probably not believing I could be so stupid. They probably thought I was just some entitled little douche. The teacher just kinda looks away disappointed and I'm ignored the rest of the time. God it's like a haunting shame; I hate that moment.

The version of this joke here in Mexico starts with the question adding in the beginning "Honestly,(question)" so that the last student, a mexican, finished the joke asking "What's "honestly"?" Hahaha we have tons of jokes about how corrupt we are, so sad but true.

I teach in China and that is so true. It's not because of the government per se, but because of the education system, which is based on: a.)teaching to a multiple-choice standardized test b.) regurgitating the teacher's opinion. I had some of the kids write a paragraph on "when is war justified?" and most of them churned out a bland "war is bad when...but war is sometimes good when..." paper that didn't reveal their opinion at all. Exactly one kid gave me an awesome paper with historical references to back him up.

Basically, it's the the American education system on crack.

This comic makes me wonder how anyone could grow up never knowing what food is. Obviously, the African's been absorbing some nutrients, or he wouldn't be alive. Possible situations:

-As an extremely controlled experiment (perhaps to simulate a web comic joke?), he's spent his whole life being fed while highly sedated, so he has no memory of it. No word is spoken as to what food is, or where all his poop comes from.

-Not only is he African, but he's a mutant. He derives all energy from photosynthesis.

-He's a robot.

FYI: I'm going to print this out on a nice 75lb cream paper blended with linen. I'll dip it in cool black tea and dry it out to add a thick golden hue and sweet scent. Then, I'm going to slowly wank one out while watching the view and eating a turkey sandwich. When I bust, and bust I will, I will do so all over the chinese student. Not because I'm racist. Not because I have a fetish. Just because that's how I roll. Then I'm going to fold up the parchment and slide it into a security envelope. I'll use a sponge to wet the envelope edges and then seal it shut. I'll put it under my pillow, and sleep on it for a week. Then I'll open it up, and huff in the pungent odor of my own semen, sweet black tea, and a the premium color ink that I used to print this comic. Throughout this process, I'll think "SniperFists. SniperFists. Sniperfists. Sniperfists."
