For those wondering, sliding means throwing your board sideways so your wheels are perpendicular and drifting to slow down/stop. Pendulum isn't necessary but useful for quick speed checks.

original photo of the one Sector 9 logo? Also this is still a sick part of skateboarding history, where not only was everything new but it was based ALL on style. They didnt care that you could ride a skateboard, but how good you looked doing it. It was the same vibe they took from surfing and brought it to land when the waves went out during the day.

What you can't see behind his legs are probably some pretty ripped abs to hold himself up like that. Plus a high strength to weight ratio helps. IE, he's skinny.
