He eventually gets over his fears. Most of this was the bear being startled at meeting other animals for the first time. At the end of the video you see him playing with the lion cub.

They were doing it because the bear has social anxiety and were trying to help the bear get past it by introducing it to other animals. Bears are predators, they're not supposed to flip the fuck out like that when introduced into a new environment. The lions were showing no signs of aggression and the bear, if normal, would have picked up on that and been fine but because there's something wrong with it, it flipped the fuck out. They're not doing it for fun, they're doing it to help the bear in the long run.

Actually, you're not quite on the money. That's a black bear cub in the video, and black bears aren't really predators. In the wild, they mostly eat grubs found in fallen trees, using their claws to pull back the bark. By nature, they're very timid animals. Unlike more aggressive grizzly bears, the black bear's natural instinct when threatened is to run away/up a tree. Wild black bears are even known to run away from small, domesticated animals in fear, as seen here, here, and not so much here but it's still funny.

But you're right when describing the purpose of having the lion and bear play together, it's for acclimation.

I actually do, but I've always had girlfriends and largely female groups of friends.

The stereotypes don't really fit as well as you'd think, all of my friends in the spectrum also date and have wonderful bonds with the other sex.

And yeah, I know this is all joking, but because of the ASD I tend to outright answer hypothetical questions for my own satisfaction. That's about the most obvious quirk, and fear of women isn't one of them.

Right on, I wasn't meaning to be offensive. I probably have a bias at the moment, coming from being in a relationship with someone who I'm 99% sure had it, who ended up acting like an abusive sociopath. Whenever I see a group of men here on what seems like the warpath against women, I always think of that. I imagine not everyone with Aspergers turns out like my ex, so thank you for helping me keep my mind open.

And I assumed you were person without aspergers because Aspies don't actually act like the gif OP posted. It was an exaggeration. The real video is of some Japanese zookeepers throwing the bear into a pen full of lions. The poor thing is terrified as fuck, constantly, and the zookeepers are laughing.
