The first time I went there, I found a working BangBros password in the top thread in /b/ or some other shithole. I spent the next 20 minutes filling my Firefox download manager with smut until the username got shut down.

I have not returned since, nor will I. There's no way that it's getting much luckier than that.

I was a /b/tard for a long while, I think the only things I couldn't deal with was the child porn, I can laugh at anything but that. My current girlfriend asked me once if I knew what 4chan was... I warned her but told her I'd show it to her in hopes of a good laugh you lose thread or something... She told me she could handle it, I told her she couldn't, but of course she didn't believe me. After 1 or 2 scrolls down she freaked out when she saw a picture of a large black man fucking a purple plastic penguin.

i remember having a similar reaction some few years ago when someone i went to macroeconomics class with told me to go there. never even heard of such a site. now i can't stop going. like a horrible train, plane, car, elevator crash with liquid excrement and rainbow unicorns together at once over and over, it always has something interesting yet soul devouring to look at.

I've tried /b/, it just isn't for me... I guess I'm too old. It just seemed like a giant sea of shit with a couple of very funny islands (also shit, but funny).

I'm just not willing to wade through all that shit to get to the funny nuggets. If they are funny enough, they will probably float up into the wider world.

Maybe it is different if you spend more time there and get used to it though.

The thing with ?channels is whatever someone posts, some 12 year old will try to out-do it. So it only ever degenerates until whatever the thread was supposed to be ends up getting 404'd. I usually throw up before that point though.

I like both; however, I can waste time on reddit, but not on 4chan.

Reddit: If I have 4 hours before going to work, I can literally spend all of that time just clicking around Reddit, there's nothing stopping me.

4chan: On 4chan, there's only so many nsfl pictures that I can handle before vowing to never go there again. I always think I can handle it, but it ALWAYS manages to surprise me.
